The Centennial Cup is awarded to the team that has shown the most improvement compared to the 2022 Canada Games (the most recent Canada Summer Games).
To determine the winner, officials compare the performances of each province and territory in every sport to their results at the 2022 Canada Games. The results are added up to find the overall most improved province or territory.
